I saw Troy today

The movie is very visual and very well made, and actors are doing good job. The plot, on the other hand, is a "very wide-branched cranberry". Meaning, I didn't appreciate the changes. Also, I have noticed that US movies on the Trojan war are always from the Trojan side, while Russian retellings are from the Greek side. I personally side with the Greeks. And Odysseus. Intelligent, cunning, slightly evil man - that's what a good man should be like :)

As far as actors, Brad Pitt is still as good as ever. Eric Bana makes a believable Hector. That blue-eyed man, friend of Achilles (Eudorus, I believe), is quite striking. However, it is Sean Bean who shined. His Odysseus is most like what I have imagined from the books, of all the Russian and foreign movies I have seen. And of course I have been a fan of his for over ten years, since I saw the Sharpe series for the first time. Why can't he be ten-fifteen years younger? Heck, even if he is more than twice my age, he is attractive enough.

You have a Calm Soul! Being calm and cool is what
you do best. You collected thoughts and always
positive attitude make you very bright and
logical. When theres a problem, you know how to
approach it, and solve it. Your friends rely on
you on their problems, and your shoulder for
their crying. You are peaceful, and enjoy
nature and freedom. You rarely get angry and
hardly scream, which makes you good with kids.
You seem to be in tune with the world and if
anything goes wrong, you always bounce back.

Pretty much true. And kids tend to like me, even though I don't like little buggers. Sorry, I lack motherly instinct. Though I wouldn't call my attitude exactly positive, I am a calm, collected person who knows how to solve problems. I love helping my friends solve theirs. However, I tend to be impulsive. And while I get angry very rarely, when I do, I hurt people, on purpose. White-hot anger burns out soon, and then I remain completely calm and composed, but with deep desire to hurt. And hurt I do. I can say things that will make people miserable for days. Thankfully, it happens very infrequently - far less than once a month.

Discworld meme at

#1 Lord Havelock Vetinari - Machiavellian and nearly-benevolent ruler of Ankh-Morpork. A worryingly cool-headed scholar of human nature.
#2 (which turns to #1 with change of importance of one question) Esme "Granny" Weatherwax - Unofficial leader of the Lancre coven. An independant and intelligent woman with a powerful code of morals and a will of iron.

I can live with it. I haven't read enough Discworld to know who Vetinari is, but his description sounds good. Weatherwax was a fun lady, though she is more lik my mom than like me. Am I turning into my mom? Scary...
