(no subject)

I am back from DC. It was wonderful in every meaning of the word. Washington looks and feels like a city. I almost hyperventilated and fainted in the Smithsonian's Gem and Mineral collection. I got to hang out with some of the most fun, energetic people the world of pharmacy students has to offer. I got a lot of work done and got all pumped up and excited for my remaining 8 months in office. And I didn't have to pay for anything and I will get reimbursed for taxi and so on. The only downside is, I broke a heel on my more comfortable pair of shoes, and my feet being already pre-blistered, I got huge, painful blisters on the littlest toe and the heel of my left foot. It hurt to walk on it, but walk I had to, so the arch of my foot hurts too, because I wasn't positioning it properly. Basically, I can only hobble around like a wounded duck, wearing orthopedic shoes and I still hurt like hell. Still, it was all totally worth it. However, the stupid shoes that gave me blisters the day before I set out are going to charity secondhand store ASAP. And I am low on sleep, having slept 3.5 hours Wednesday night, 3.5 hours Thursday night, 8 hours Friday night, 6 hours Saturday night and 4 hours Sunday night. Here is me contemplating taking the White House by storm. :D
