(no subject)

The meeting is over. It was pretty good... pity we had so few people here - a round of applause with 10 pairs of hands clapping is far less impressive than one with 200 pairs... It also was unexpectedly hurtful to see the enthusiasm and raw energy of the University of Arizona gang by whom I was sitting - and compare it to my own school, which grew complacent and lazy...

I managed to pack everything into my suitcase and backpack, so I didn't have to carry the bag, too. My haul includes a lot of nice reading material, wiht charts - will be helpful for NAPLEX, contact information for a few useful people, and some trinkets - a pedometer, a portable radio, a portable electric fan, pens for all choices, a simple calculator with a notepad, suppy of chewable calcium for my mom, ankle brace (you never know, may prove useful some day), sticky notes and so on.

It's so hard to get back into the swing of things... that's the worst part about travelling - having to come back and catch up in the matter of hours, if that. I need to finish my 45+ minute presentation tonight, because I work 8am-10pm tomorrow, and I have to be at a meeting at 7 am Thursday. Presentation will probably be in the afternoon.
