Today my small town had its arts and crafts fair (we usually have two, one in May and one in September), and of course I didn't come out of it empty-handed.

I ate a shish-kabob (yum!) right then and there, but first I just stood there for a few minutes just inhaling the smell and the smoke... Convinced myself that the line of eight people waiting for the crepes is too long (though maybe I should have waited... oh well). Walked past the pickles, which were sold right out of big wooden barrels, which I swear I could smell from half a block away...

I bought two pairs of earrings - one obsidian and silver, from an Equadoran lady, and one very interesting pair which goes up along the earlobe - silver and turquoise from a local guy and his sister. Then I got a necklace - a pretty enamel pendant hanging from a chain of silver and small river pearls. And I got a little earthenware blue pot handmade in the local shop right on my street, I needed one like that for all kinds of small things like loose buttons that keep laying around. I forced myself to walk away from the beautiful handpainted etched glass stand, though not before spending some 10 minutes looking and sighing... but I really have no place for all that. I got their card, though, and they are operating from Yardley, which is close enough if I do find a place of this type of thing. I also walked away from very expensive and very beaufiful gold-threaded Afghani shawls.

So I had fun, and walked around for good hour and a half, and there was a lot of live music, too, and weather was reasonably nice. I also learned that Chinese opera is coming in a couple weeks to the local theater, so I think I will go. I have seen one before, and I think it's a very interesting art form. Signed up to volunteer for a cat shelter. That's a day well lived, today. :)

Your result for The Social Persona Test (What kind of man/woman are you?)...

The Rarity (QTAF)

Quirky Traditional Alpha Female

You have an unusual and unbelievably precious combination of traits, especially in a woman. Not only are alpha females extremely rare, but traditional ones with nerdy/geeky interests are even more scarce. Unlike the other types, I can't give you a description because I'm not sure if you actually exists. I know this is not a compatibility test, but you are the girl of my dreams. (Assuming, that is, that you are also in your twenties and live in New England).

You are more QUIRKY than NORMAL.

You are more TRADITIONAL than LIBERAL.

You are more DOMINANT than PASSIVE.

When picking a date, consider: Lord of the Misfits (QLAM), The Late Bloomer (QTAM), The Snowball's Chance in Hell (QTBM), or The Manga Geek (QLBM).

Teehee. I do exist. Though the picture is all wrong... I am more of the sit in the tower wait to be rescued than run around with a sword type. Though while I am in the tower, there is no question who is the boss, me of the dragon guarding the tower and running my errands. :D Unfortunately, the dragons died out, so I have to do everything myself now...
