The secret word of Arrietty

I went to see this movie today, out of sheer curiosity, since I am not normally one for Japanese animation. I liked it quite a bit, despite being, probably, three or four times older than the intended audience (and there were a lot of kids in the theater, though they behaved, only a couple times some kids in the back would laugh too long and would be shushed by their parents). It was a bit melancholy, but very sweet in its own way. And the slower pacing allowed for a nice after-work relaxation. I don't think this is something I would want to watch again and again, but I am glad I went to see it. In other news, I had a weird day at work whether it felt everyone I needed to reach was avoiding me. Phone calls went straight to voice mail or call forwarding and I never heard back. E-mails went unanswered. If it continues like that tomorrow, I will go physically knock on people's doors and hound them. You want to play hide-and-seek? I will play it with you, just don't be surprised when you don't like what happens after I find you. I can be nice once, I can be nice twice, but there is not a person living who can claim I was nice to them thrice without getting some nice back. And in still other news, pork chops rule. I almost feel like revising my decision to observe Lent this year. Almost. I plan to give up all sweets and all alcohol entirely and limit meat to just Sundays, and eggs to just once a week. I am not going to give up dairy, though. No way. And I am going to still eat normal meals on Saturdays when I work in the pharmacy because that would just be insane...
