I got a pretty figurine - a tiger's eye frog on a jade leaf. Very cute. Also, a pair of amethysts that could be made into earrings. They were pricey, totaling $500, but the stones were deeply colored, high quality natural amethysts, and, most importantly, with very interesting cut. I haven't seen such technique on the bottom side before, and was entranced. Maybe that's why I spent so much... I need someone more rational and less jewelry-obsessed nearby when being in places like that, with money to spend. Or maybe not. After all, I've earned the money myself, it's not like they came to me easily. And I've been having one bad year, and a very, very hard semester at school. Why not treat myself if I can afford it?
Now I just need to find a jeweler who would mount them for me. The settings they offered there were crappy in design, and cheap 14K gold. I mean, why buy quality stones and set them in 14K gold? I don't even touch anything that is less than 18K, and I want 21K for these earrings. As far as design, their shape is similar to my mom's garnets, so I might just take them with me and request something similar.

This doesn't bother you in the least as you lounge around your rich comfortable surroundings, reveling in wealth and authority.|
